With iOS 14, Apple is requiring app developers to tell users about and have them opt-in to tracking. Google announced today that its first-party iOS apps will stop using certain tracking methods to avoid having to show the upcoming permission prompt. Meanwhile, the company also provided guidance to developers and advertisers ahead of Apple’s App Tracking Transparency initiative. Google has an unspecified “handful” of iOS apps that need to be disclosed under Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) policy, and would require users to click “Allow Tracking” or “Ask App Not to Track” before being able to proceed....

Since iOS 8, Apple has supported third-party keyboards on iPhones and iPads with Microsoft and others offering their own unique options. Google, which has dozens of apps on iOS, is joining in on the action today with its new feature-packed ‘Gboard’ keyboard for iPhone. Google Photos is beginning to rollout Suggested Sharing and Shared Libraries following their announcement at I/O 2017 last month. The first feature recommends images to share, while the latter allows entire libraries to be continuously shared with another person. Suggested Sharing coincides with the addition of a new “Sharing” tab in the bottom bar of the mobile app, while the section is now elevated to the left-hand navigation column on the web....
