In Gilmore Girls, Michel is always a little prickly around the edges, but once you get to know him… well, even then too. But with his grumpy attitude comes some of the best zingers throughout the series. Even in a not-so-great episode of the series, Michel’s quips are one thing you can always count on. Trying to narrow down a handful of his best jabs was difficult, but we think we’ve found some winners....

Glenn Close offers a defense of Scarlett Johansson’s controversial casting in Rub & Tug. After becoming a lightning rod for Hollywood whitewashing conversations with their Ghost in the Shell adaptation, Johansson was set to reunite with director Rupert Sanders on the new drama, which is a biopic about transgender man Dante “Tex” Gill, who rose up the criminal ladder during his rather interesting life. Johansson, of course, is a cisgender actress, and her casting as Gill generated substantial backlash....

Sony’s God of War shows no sign of stopping as it breaks the record for fastest-selling PlayStation 4 exclusive of all time, even going as far as to topple other PS4 exclusives in less than three days. The eighth game in the franchise is all anyone is talking about right now, reinventing the trials and tribulations of Kratos with Norse mythology. While the previous games focused on the Ghost of Sparta taking on Greek deities, Sony Santa Monica decided to chart new territory and have seen great success so far....

Godzilla: King of the Monsters introduces new monsters to Warner Bros. and Legendary’s MonsterVerse. Among them is Mothra, a giant moth-like kaiju often accompanied by two small fairies - roles that Millie Bobby Brown and Vera Farmiga’s characters may take the place of in this Godzilla sequel. Mothra is unique among the kaiju typically featured in the Godzilla franchise. Unlike Rodan or King Ghidorah, Mothra first debuted in the serialized novel, The Luminous Fairies and Mothra by Takehiko Fukunaga, Shinichiro Nakamura, and Yoshie Hotta....

Godzilla is known as one of the few Japanese kaiju monsters with virtually no weaknesses. Aside from his massive strength and nearly impenetrable hide, the King of Monsters boasts a powerful healing factor that renders him essentially immortal. Even so, Godzilla does have vulnerabilities, many of which tend to be more mental than physical… and none more powerful than basketball. Several movies have shown Godzilla is susceptible to alien mind control....

Google is experimenting with bringing native Chrome notifications to Mac users via integration with Apple’s built-in Notification Center in OS X. For now the feature is hidden as Google continues development, but there’s a way you can already enable it… A developer on the Chromium site (via TNW) notes that the Chrome teams “are actively working on integrating with the OSX native notification center,” and that the feature can already be turned on in the latest Chrome canary build....

Back in March, Google Podcasts launched on iOS alongside an Android revamp and tweaks to the web experience. The first update to Google Podcasts for iOS today adds CarPlay support. CarPlay support is the highlight of version 2.0, with Google touting how “you can more easily and safely listen while you drive.” Like other audio apps on the automotive platform, the UI is quite straightforward in offering access to your subscriptions and large now playing controls....

Original Ghostbusters actor Ernie Hudson reveals in an online video message that he’s currently filming scenes for Jason Reitman’s upcoming sequel. Hudson’s character of Winston Zeddemore has always stood apart a bit from the other Ghostbusters, to the point where it sometimes seems he doesn’t get enough respect. As the only non-scientist among the group, Winston may not have been as up on the methods and tools for catching spirits, but he brought the valuable perspective of a normal person to the supernatural proceedings, offering audiences a character they could identify with along the way....

Baphomet is one of several new Titans confirmed to dwell somewhere in the MonsterVerse in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, but never seen. It was stated early in the movie that Monarch was aware of the existence of 17 Titans, but there are quite a few that never appeared in the flesh. Five of the Titans – Godzilla, King Kong, King Ghidorah, Rodan, and Mothra – are established characters who predate Legendary’s MonsterVerse by decades, but the rest are original to the MonsterVerse....

Good Trouble follows the lives of Callie and Mariana Adams Foster after they say good-bye to their home in San Diego to begin a new life in Los Angeles. For Google, the 1-800-GOOG-411 service was the first leap into developing and improving voice recognition technology. Through use of the voice data collected Google was able to develop many of the voice services you find presently on Android. Personally, I never tried GOOG-411, but I might give it a go before they permanently switch off the service on November 12, 2010. The Google 411 voice-recognition driven service might be shutting down, but Google is keeping their text message directory service alive and kicking....

Google just announced at Day 2 of Google I/O that Chrome for iPhone & iPad will come to the App Store later today for devices running iOS 4.3 or later. The app will feature many of the features present in other versions of the browser, including: Chrome sync, incognito mode, and its unique tab UI....

We’re hearing that Google Play Music for iPad is getting close to release and a tipster has sent in a few videos showcasing what he/she claims is a pre-release of the new app. We’ve heard independently that Play Music for iPad was getting close to delivery and our tipster says this is a development build (see update below). The app will function similarly to the iPhone version, but redesigned for iPad....

After releasing a free version of the Quickoffice iPad app for its Google Apps for Business customers in December, Google today announced free iPhone and Android versions of the app exclusively for its Apps for Business customers. Google noted the updated apps also bring new features including support for multiple Google Drive accounts, improved chart rendering, ZIP folders from multiple files, and the ability to sort Drive files by “Shared with me, Starred, and Recent”:...
