2 GB Free Google Drive Storage
According to the Google Drive Blog, the search giant is celebrating Safer Internet Day which was held today. I hadn’t heard of Safer Internet Day either, but if you want more information about the campaign, check out the website here.
The check is simple, just go through the sections and verify your recovery information, recent activity, account permissions, app passwords, and 2-Step Verification settings. After you do that (and hopefully everything checks out), you get you additional free space. Google will start rolling out the additional space to everyone, starting February 28th. You’ll receive an email from the company when the space is ready. While 2 GB might not seem like a huge bump in storage space these days, considering Microsoft announced it’s giving away 100 GB free OneDrive Space, it’s a nice reward for double checking the security of your Google account. Note: A caveat to this free storage is that Google Apps for Work and Google Apps for Education accounts are not eligible for the bonus. Comment
