Under the latest update of Google Play Store developer policy, Google has implemented a ban on several app categories which include cryptocurrency mining apps and apps that show disrupting ads, as per the Android Police report.

As per the new update, Google has prohibited mining apps except those that remotely manage mining of cryptocurrency. Apple recently announced only apps that mine using cloud-based mining will find a place in their store.

Repetitive apps that provide a same familiar interface on the platform or mimic other apps are also prohibited from Google Play Store. Any app that is found copying content from another app without adding any new content or feature or if a developer adds multiple apps of the same interface will be removed. Also, apps that are made using wizard service, automated tools or are template based will be removed as well.

This is not all. The other restrictions implied are on apps dealing with firearm accessories and firearms. Any app that sells explosives, ammunition, firearms or firearms accessories will be removed from Google Play Store, the same way as YouTube put a ban earlier this year on such topics.

As per Google Play Stores update, firearm accessories that enable simulation automatic fire or converts a firearm into the automatic fire like Gatling triggers, bump stocks, conversion kits or drop-in auto sears. Apps that provide manuals or training of firearms, ammunition, manufacturing explosives or such weapons are banned from the Play Store.

Another restriction that is applied is on apps that are meant for children, but end-up showing adult themes or content. Apps that deal with sexual explicit conduct, sex toys promotion, bestiality featuring content, promotion of escort sites or pay for sex services are also banned. Apps that make profits from natural disasters or tragedies that occur across the globe are also banned.

Apps that deal with illegal drugs activities from growing and manufacturing drugs are also banned. Most of all, apps that gather user information are also prohibited from Google Play Store. Apps that force clicking of adds or to enter your personal information before getting access to the app are also banned.
