As Season 1 of Good Trouble came to a close, viewers were left with a sigh – and a longing to see more. The end sequence showcased a dance between Callie (Maia Mitchell) and the two men fighting for her affection. Gael and Jamie.

With the curtains final draw on Season 1, Callie hadn’t yet made her decision! Season 2 will see many of the loose ends of Season 1 tied up. Big feelings and big choices are what the new running of the program is all about. This is what viewers can look out for in the exciting new season.

The choice

The dance which ended Season 1 of Good Trouble saw two would-be suitors in the spotlight, vying for Callie’s attention, and Callie with a decision to make as to who she would crown the king of her heart.

In Season 2, the much-loved screen character will finally decide and the love triangle which dominated episodes in Season 1 might finally be laid to rest. Will she pick Gael or Jamie? This is one of the exciting, narrative-turning choices which audiences can look out for in Season 2’s riveting viewing.

To live or to die?

Towards the end of Season 1, Dennis (Josh Pence) was filled with emotional turmoil, overcome by depression, and even contemplating suicide. The season’s penultimate episode ended with his potential suicide. Davia (Emma Hunton), who has developed feelings for Dennis, was left in a state of panic as a result.

Will Dennis finally embrace life and leave the shadow of death? This is a question fans of the show can expect to be answered in Season 2. The relationship between Dennis and Davia will also be in the spotlight – reason enough to stay glued to the screen.

An explosion of big feelings

The show is at a place where characters are finding their true selves and feelings are being voiced. Fans know to keep an eye on Callie and her love life, but it’s advisable to keep an eye out for the resistance which will surface, as true feelings emerge and love takes flight.

As Dennis learns to deal with his depression, he and Davia’s love starts to bloom. Still, it won’t be all that simple as the characters will discover. Not everything falls into place without some resistance.

Old themes unfold

While certain details about the new season of the show have still to be officially launched, it’s been forecast that the new series will include follow-ons of themes developed during the first season. This means viewers can continue to follow the exciting lives of Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) and Callie.

In Season 1, Callie worked as a law clerk, and Mariana, at Spekculate. Stories around their work and home lives will continue to develop and both young ladies will resume their search to find out how they both fit in.

Rumors of growth and promotion

As Callie and Mariana continue their meander through life in Los Angeles, it is rumored Season 2 might embrace the prospect of promotions and new careers in their journey.

This won’t be the only growth viewers can anticipate. The two protagonists will continue growing in terms of love, and romance. Choices they will have to make will grow them, and as they grow personally, it is expected that they will grow professionally as well.

Mere speculation?

Viewers were left at a tentative place in the story’s narrative as Season 1 drew to a close. Mariana was on the edge of trying to instigate change at Speckulate, where she works. This is because she and some colleagues have noticed salary disparities in the company.

Exposing this injustice, however, could come at a high cost. While it might be for the greater good, pressing forward with this could hurt Mariana’s career path. Will she lose her job? And if so, will she embrace a new career path? One can only speculate.

A full cast

Good news! The entire cast of Good Trouble, Season 1 will be returning for the next season’s exciting viewing. This means that fans can look forward to watching their old favorites in the new season.

What’s more, entertainment news sites speculate someone from Callie’s past will stick around for the new season, but such forecasters are staying tight-lipped about whom. There will also be a return of Beau Mirchoff, as Jamie, and all eyes will be on the romance between him and Callie.

Bring on the stars!

Season 1 was made all the more special with its succession of celebrities stepping in as surprise guest stars. All the bling and eye candy left viewers dazzled and longing for more. Season 2, it would seem, is following in the footsteps of Season 1. Good Trouble fans can expect the appearance of many guest stars during the second season. Spoilers have hinted such stars might include popular celeb Noah Centineo.

What’s more, many of the guest stars of Season 1 are expected to return in Season 2.

Relationships, relationships, relationships

Let’s face it… love is not a simple adventure in Good Trouble. Alice loves Sumi, but Sumi loves playing with her affections and the drama seems never to end. Fans can hope that Alice will come to her senses in Season 2 and realize that Sumi is no good for her. Will therapy help her deal with her stolen identity and come to turns with deep-seated motivating factors influencing her wayward affections? Season 2 will take a closer look at the troubled star and the twisted affections between Sumi and Alice.

Joy for Malika?

The character of Malika didn’t have an easy Season 1. She was involved in a police brutality trial, experienced challenges with her mother, and faced some issues with Isaac, her new beau. Viewers are more than likely wishing all of the best for the star in Season 2.

Will the new season be as bumpy a ride for her as Season 1? If so, fans can buckle their seatbelts and expect a whole lot more drama. Thankfully, this is what has given Malika the grit and determination fans love about her – so then, bring it on!
