GMC has put in place a loyalty program for its customers to earn and redeem some rewards every time they pay for a product or service from GMC or participating dealers. For a customer to be eligible for the GMC loyalty program, they will first have to have a GMC rewards account or enroll for a GMC rewards card. Redeeming the points, the customer has to notify the certified dealers that they will pay for the product or service partly or wholly using their points earned. 

Types of GMC Loyalty Program 

GMC offers its customers rewards from the use and purchase of the following products and services. Each of them has a reward scheme in place as indicated below. 

Purchase or lease new eligible GM vehicle 

For every purchase or lease of new GMC, Chevrolet, Buick, and Cadillac the customer earns 1 point for every $5 spent.  

GM certified pre-owned vehicles 

The vehicles eligible for this reward are GMC, Chevrolet, Buick, and Cadillac. 

A customer earns 2, 500 points purchasing a certified pre-owned vehicle from GMC or participating dealerships added to the customer account within 15 days from the day of purchaseA customer can redeem up to $750 per year or Up to $1, 000 if a customer has My GMC Rewards card and points deducted from your account with completion of a sell

Certified service, accessories, and parts

Customers earn 3 points for every $1 spent or 7 points for every $1 for card members when they purchase eligible accessories, GM genuine parts, ACDelco parts, and pay for GMC certified services. 

The points can be redeemed up to $225 or $250 for card members 

Onstar and GMC connected service parts 

A customer using GMC mobile App and Onstar for emergency safety and security services earns 3 points for every $1 spent or 7 points for every $1 spent for cardmembers.  

The customer annually can redeem up to $225 or $250 for cardmembers on selected GMC connected services and Onstar, eligible accessories, or pay for certified services  

GM Financial 

To redeem points earned with GM Financial, a customer is required their GMC Rewards account to their GM Financial account 

The points can be added to the customers’ monthly billing charges for the lease of the vehicle or cost of wear and mileage and can be redeemed up to $250 annually for cardmembers.  

GMC protection plan 

A customer earns 2, 500 points when buying the GMC Protection plans and can redeem the points earned to pay for the protection plan at any of the participating dealers.  

My GMC rewards card spend 

Within the first 90 days, a customer that spends $1, 000 on their GMC Rewards Cards earns 10, 000 points 

The customer gets to enjoy 0% APR in the first 9 months and the following months’ APR between 14.99% to 24.99% with a 0% annual fee 

When using the card, the customer earns 4 points per every $1 spent or 7 points for every $1 spent to pay for GMC Certified service, GM genuine parts,  ACDelco parts, etc. 

The amount to be redeemed for a cardmember is unlimited when buying or leasing a new eligible GM vehicle but limited to $250 paying for GMC Certified Service, GM Genuine Parts, and ACDelco Parts, eligible accessories, most OnStar and Connected Services plans, GM Financial and Protection Plans. 

For purchase of a certified pre-owned vehicle, a customer can redeem up to $1, 000 while the gold and platinum members can redeem on gift cards up to $250 per year at a 1% redeem rate. 

GMC rewarding its customer for every purchase of goods and services from GMC participating dealerships is a great market strategy to make customers stick with GMC and return to make purchases to earn more and save even more when redeeming the points earned to pay for goods and services. This reward scheme ensures customers’ loyalty to GMC products and services and if a customer is satisfied with it they easily refer their family and friends to GMC increasing the numbers of customers and sales made by GMC. The scheme ensures the customers are always on the lookout for more offers so that they can be able to earn and save on their vehicle expenses.
