We’ll get into where you can most easily pick up a bunch of pinecones shortly, but first, let’s go into why you should be gathering them whenever you see them.

Cooking with Pinecones

Mondstadt Hash Browns recover 30% to 34% of a character’s maximum HP, plus an additional 600 to 1,900 HP on top of that. Cooking the dish with Razor has a chance of turning into a Puppy-paw Hash Brown instead, which is an improved and superior dish to the Mondstadt variety.

To unlock the Mondstadt Hash Brown recipe, you’ll need to best the Temple of the Wolf dungeon at Adventure Rank 15. Finally, a use for pinecones.

Where to Get Pinecones in Genshin Impact

Pinecones are never around when you want them, right? I picked up dozens of the things before I even reached Adventure Rank 15 and actually decided to stop picking them up for a while — so do note that while the locations highlighted below are great spots to pick up pinecones, you can find them all over the place.

It’s highly recommended that you just pick up any pinecones you run across to save yourself some time, rather than going out to farm them whenever you get low. Keep your eyes on the ground surrounding trees to spot them on the move.

In the map below, I’ve highlighted three different spots where pinecones are more bountiful than elsewhere. The spots to the west have a higher concentration of pinecones than the spot marked to the east.

You should be able to stock up on a fair amount by bouncing between these areas, but of course having a character who can heal in your lineup is a more reliable way to keep your party’s HP up.

That’s it for where to find pinecones aplenty. Check out our other Genshin Impact guides here on GameSkinny.
