Google today released an iOS app for its AdWords Express advertising service. The app, which is available for only Google’s automated AdWords Express advertising service aimed at small businesses, allows users to view stats from advertisements created with the service, edit the advertisements, adjust budgets, and get notifications related to campaigns directly from within the iPhone or iPad app: Google already had an AdWords Express app available for Android users, but it doesn’t yet have mobile apps for its full-fledged AdWords service....

Glee was the kind of show that audiences were waiting for in several ways. It was light-hearted and fun, but simultaneously heavy and melancholic. The series attempted to deal with a vast number of complex topics, with mixed success. But even though it’s over and it definitely had its fair share of flaws, it still marked a generation of teenagers and young adults. There’s nothing to indicate we should be expecting something like Glee to return to our screens, and perhaps that’s for the best....

Google today announced the launch of a new company called Calico. The company focuses on health and well-being matters, and Google CEO Larry Page describes it as a “moonshot” initiative that could help millions of people: Notably, Arthur Levinson will be a founder and the CEO of Calico. Levinson used to be a Board Member at Google, and he is currently the Chairman of Apple’s Board of Directors and Genetech. Apple CEO Tim Cook has even commented in Google’s press release about the company:...

Yesterday on the Google TV Blog and site, Google announced that over the next few months they plan on giving away a total of 10,000 free Google TV devices. Before you get too excited, note this morning they already gave out 3,000 of those at the Adobe Max conference. That leaves 7,000 total left to give out. They’ve stated on the blog that 3,500 will be given out to developers that are part of the http://code....

Legendary actor Glenn Close joins Jonathan Pryce and Christian Slater in The Wife. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Meg Wolitzer, directed by Björn Runge, with a screenplay by Jane Anderson. It tells the story of Joan Castleman (Glenn Close) reflecting on her life during a trip to Stockholm. Her husband, Joe Castleman (Jonathan Pryce), is going to receive a Nobel Prize in Literature and the couple is traveling to Stockholm for the presentation....

Godzilla: King of the Monsters introduced a multitude of new Titans to the MonsterVerse, and one of the newest monsters is a creature called Scylla. The 2014 Godzilla film featured three Titans, comprised of two M.U.T.O.s, and of course, Godzilla himself. Another Titan, King Kong, appeared in Kong: Skull Island, and then King of the Monsters brought the number of Titans in the MonsterVere to a staggering 17. Three of the newest Titans were key players in King of the Monsters....

Warning! SPOILERS below for Good Omens. Based on the novel by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, Good Omens was one of the most highly-anticipated new shows of 2019. This was due in large part to Gaiman himself personally overseeing the series’ production. Though Gaiman is no stranger to having his stories adapted into other media (Starz’s American Gods is based on a Gaiman novel, as are the films Stardust and Coraline), this was his first time acting as a showrunner....

Goodbye Christopher Robin, the A.A. Milne biopic, has released its first poster; a sweetly charming look at a tale of a father and son. This movie, it should be stressed, is not the Disney live-action Christopher Robin movie in the works. Instead, Goodbye Christopher Robin is based on the real life story of Winnie-the-Pooh creator, Milne, and his relationship with his son, Christopher Robin, whose love for his toys inspired Milne’s stories....

Google has announced a major restructuring of the entire organization, starting with the creation of an all-new company called Alphabet, Inc., which will now serve as the parent company of Google and all of its previous projects. The Google brand will be “slimmed down” and focus on web products like Search and Gmail, with SVP of Android/Chrome/Google Apps Sundar Pichai serving as CEO. Other endeavours like health research, will belong to other companies that will be broken out of Google....

Sony Pictures has revealed to us that the cost of reshoots for 2016’s Ghostbusters reboot were $3-4 million and not the $30-40 million that actor Dan Aykroyd had previously claimed. Aykroyd recently laid into Paul Feig on the UK’s Sunday Brunch chat show, saying that the Ghostbusters director “spent too much on it”, thereby severely limiting the film’s ability to recoup its massive budget. The Ghostbusters reboot, which starred Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and Kristen Wiig, was bombarded with controversy before, during and after its release, ultimately taking in $229 million worldwide....

Although Google has much ground to cover, the Nexus 10 tablet is pretty powerful and with its horsepower, it can definitely propel the Google Nexus series right at the top of the pack. The device was produced in partnership with Samsung, a well known smartphone and tablet manufacturer and an old friend of Google’s. Together they have made quite a lot of very well crafted Nexus devices, and it would seem, they thought to add another on the list....

Gentler Streak for Apple Watch, an app that wants to bring compassion to your fitness goals, has just been updated to version 2.3. With that, the app is bringing yet another exclusive feature called Go Gentler, which plans to stimulate a healthier attitude toward exercise and fitness by suggesting workouts based on users’ exercises. According to the Gentler Streak press release note, the Go Gentler feature holds samples of optimal daily actions per person by proving various suggestions....

Iconic kaiju Mothra and Rodan may team up with each other in Godzilla: King of the Monsters, according to the latest trailer. Shortly after Gareth Edwards’ Godzilla reboot released in 2014, Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. confirmed plans to expand the film into a new shared universe, later dubbed the MonsterVerse. And then it was announced that the movie’s sequel, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, would include Mothra, Rodan, and Ghidorah - three of the most iconic kaiju in Toho’s film library....

Google Deal with Disney We’ve been saying for years that it’s only a matter of time before YouTube goes head-to-head with Netflix, the TV networks, and the cable industry to become a full, end-to-end provider for the music and movie studios. And that’s what YouTube is getting with the Disney deal. The next step as we see it will be original YouTube content–quality studio-grade content, not zit-popping-in-the-mirror vids. Why run a show on NBC or HBO if the viewers are on YouTube?...

Google made some announcements today regarding its work with the Quickoffice team since acquiring the company in June. On top of noting work to take advantage of Quickoffice conversion technology in Google Docs, Google launched a free version of the QuickOffice iPad app exclusively for Google Apps for Business customers today. There are also free iPhone and Android versions of the app for creating and editing Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files coming to Apps customers in the near future:...

Game of Thrones creator, George R. R. Martin, says he intends to release the series’ long-awaited next book, The Winds of Winter, by summer next year and lists exactly what fans can do to him if he doesn’t meet that target. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire novels have always enjoyed a dedicated and passionate following but the mammoth success of HBO’s Game of Thrones has elevated the books to the very top of the fantasy fiction pile....

Godzilla: King of the Monsters can make Monarch better than Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D. One of the biggest similarities between the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Legendary’s MonsterVerse is the presence of a government agency with limitless resources overseeing the special beings that exist in their respective universes. In the MCU, the superheroes, villains, gods, and aliens were monitored by S.H.I.E.L.D. while the MonsterVerse’s Titans are tracked by Monarch. Though they appear to be similar on the surface, the two organizations are actually quite different, and that gives the MonsterVerse a chance to improve upon the mistakes Marvel made with S....
